1963 Bulova Accutron Spaceview Wristwatch

1963 Bulova Accutron Spaceview For a handful of decades, ahead of the invention of “quartz watches”, the most accurate means of telling time was the Accutron tuning fork movement. This is the Accutron 214 motion. There is one of these movements in 1 of the instruments that is on the surface area of the moon. It is a genuine testament to the craftsmanship we utilised to have in the USof A. that this view nonetheless operates some 46 a long time later on! It is a accurate steppingstone amongst purely mechanical and purely electronic timepieces.

@scholesclass Haha hilarious. I’d love to get my hands on one of these Bulova Accutrons. My favorite is the Spaceview Alpha, but to get a genuine one is so damn hard!. About 85% and up of these Spaceviews are conversions.

@alexthe22 Ahhhh, I like the idea!! But what’s the chance of getting one in Australia?

  5. scholesclass says:

@irocz0r because they don’t make a long enough cable to go shopping whilst it’s plugged into the main electric supply

  6. scholesclass says:

The music is from ‘Steptoe and son’ and the watch is from land fill

Sigh. Screw quartz. Screw accuracy. All that matters is that SMOOTH SWEEPING HAND. I hate winding my automatic watches; I want to wear a different watch every day, and don’t want to buy an expensive winder. WHY DON’T THEY HAVE ELECTRIC WATCHES ANYMORE?!

The watch man told me that it was a 72 but I realize that it’s much older than that. he told me that it’s valued at about $850. But I beleave it’s much more, does anyone out their know how much one is worth for that year.
